I think many do not pursue their dreams because it is stepping out of the comfort of the boat. Only when we step out of the boat we will know that we can walk on water. We definitely need someone to root for us and encourage us to be what we really want to be

This is really true.. I've read a lot of other different quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and they always seem to be good words to live by.

I really think this quote is true. So many times, we choose not to pursue freams we may have. There are many different reasons why, but many times it is due to a lack of incouragement. I think it is very important to find someone who will constantly support you in everything you do.

I totally agree with this quote. So many times, we choose not to pursue our dreams because we feel that we can not accomplish. I believe if we hang around with people who can encourage us to pursue our dreams this world would be different. So, if you have found someone who encourages you, don't let him or her go away of your life. Don't take it for granted.

I agree with the quote completely until the last line. We want someone to encourage us, inspire us, and help us get to where we want to. However, not all people "need" encouragement from others. Sometimes learning from others mistakes and their discouragement towards you can actually inspire you. I'm not saying encouragement doesn't help a lot. However, sometimes it is the people who discourage you that actually makes you want to do it more. For instance, both my parents are against me starting the orphanage and severely discourage me. However, it is these people who try to discourage me that if they were to encouraging me I'd actually feel as though I was on the wrong path.

It really is important to have someone both inspire us and encourage us. I'm reminded of Paul and Jesus' disciples like Peter, and how they were able to spread Christianity across the entire world!!! I wonder what their lives would have been like had they not answered the call of Jesus!
It just makes me think how important it is to be in line with Jesus.
