Reach out to people who are influential by inviting them to lunch (or even out for a cup of coffee!) is a great way to engage in personal leadership development.

Thanks for sharing this tip...I must be honest and say I've learned more over a $2 (or $5, depending on what they order!) cup of coffee than what I learned sitting through weeks of college lectures many years ago!
Perhaps it's the inspiration that comes WITH the information...but, I leave each one of these meetings with action items, energy, and renewed focus on success.
