Rod Woodson 2009 ROD WOODSON PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION BENEFIT DINNER & AUCTION

Rod Woodson will be officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of fame. Only 253 men have been so honored since professional football began back in 189.
There is a very special dinner and charity event happening on July 25, 2009 which will raise funds for Valley Christian High school in Dublin. I am posting this for my friend who is the Superintendent.

Seven session study/discussion on my book Moving from Vision to Reality

We are planning a seven session study/discussion on the book  which I authored “Moving from Vision to Reality”  starting June 24^th. We will meet alternate Wednesdays. There are seven steps defined in this book to accomplish your dreams and we will cover one step in each session.

Our present trials will mold us as leaders to face greater challenges with ease and accomplish our dreams. As we see what we have overcome we can celebrate and have an attitude of gratitude.

Influence of the leader

Leaders cannot be people pleasers. Leaders need to have their core values clear and live that out. Leaders influence is tested when the leader needs to confront an erring team member who could dilute the vision. Even confronting a team member has to be done in love giving the reason for the confrontation and the impact on the vision if the error is not corrected.

I have been reading The HP Way by David Packard. This is one of those books which sat on the shelf for very long before I picked it up to read.  One fascinating story about how the name of Hewlett Packard came into being. It could have well been Packard Hewlett had Dave Packard won the coin toss. HP started in a garage. Bill and Dave decided to work together to launch a busienss. HP developed several simple electronic products in the beginning before they built their audio oscillator product. The key in entrepreneurship is the team and the determination to work together.
